A Prayer to Live With Grace

May we discover through pain and torment,
the strength to live with grace and humor.
May we discover through doubt and anguish,
the strength to live with dignity and holiness.
May we discover through suffering and fear,
The strength to move toward healing.
May it come to pass that we be restored to health and to vigor.
May life grant us wellness of body, spirit, and mind.
And if this cannot be so, may we find in this transformation and passage
Moments of meaning, opportunities for love
and the deep and gracious calm that comes
when we allow ourselves to move on.

Bless This Day

Bless this Day

May this day be blessed with gifts
Lessons, understanding and friends
May my energy be a gift to all I meet
Let me be centered, healing and open
May I face the day with courage
kindness, insight and compassion
May my spirit and body, honor this day

Who Closes My Eyes: A Blessing At Bedtime

(From http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jewish-bedtime-prayers)

Praised are You, Adonai, our God, Ruler of the universe, who closes my eyes in sleep, my eyelids in slumber.

May it be Your will, Adonai, My God and the God of my ancestors, to lie me down in peace and then to raise me up in peace.

Let no disturbing thoughts upset me, no evil dreams nor troubling fantasies.

May my bed be complete and whole in Your sight.

Grant me light so that I do not sleep the sleep of death, for it is You who illumines and enlightens.

Praised are You, Adonai, whose majesty gives light to the universe.

O Dark Mother

(Abbi Spinner)
O dark mother, lead me inward
down to the cave of my heart. (4x)

(pause)

O dark mother, lead me inward
down to the cave of my heart. (3x)

Down to the cave of my heart
Down to the cave of my heart

Mother and Father

(Laurie H.)
Mother, guide me.
Mother, hide me.
Mother, mold me.
Mother, hold me.

Mother, teach me.
Mother, reach me.
Mother, show me.
Mother, know me.

Father, protect me from
all that I’ve yet to learn.
Father, have pride in me.
Father, see light in me.
Father, give strength to me
for what I need to see.
Father, take care of me.
Father, be there for me.
