Cranberry Soul Cake Cookies


Traditional Soul Cakes are more like big, thick circle cookies. We played with the shapes and like the “cornucopia” shape best.


  • 1 bag of Craisins, or a mix of equivalent assorted dried fruit bits
  • Enough Orange Juice to cover. Soak overnight.

Sweetened Gallette Dough (Consider Making 2-3 batches for 30 Samhain diners.)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • ½ to ¾ cup sugar
  • 12 tbsps cold, unsalted butter, cut into small pieces, softened
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup ice water, as needed

Whiz dough together with mixer. Refrigerate if too soft to handle. Using circle cutter, cut out circle shapes. Place 1-2 tbs filling and shape into center and shape into cornucopia form. Bake at 350 for 20 min.

Consider a egg wash to make it shiny.
